What I wanted to do was plug my fone into my puter, and get the data (address, notes, name and numbers) to go directly from intellect to my cell fone, and do so in such a way as I can not have 2000 duplicates or incomplete duplicate names.
Now that I understand what you want to do, I can explain the setup using my Nokia as an example
T&C/!ntellect to Outlook using ChaosSync for Outlook : this is a 2 way transfer of contacts, appointments, tasks and memos
Outlook to Nokia using Noikia PC Suite : this is a 2 way transfer of contacts, appointments and tasks; memos not used on my phone.
To ensure that there are no duplicates, you need to start with a "master source of data". In your case where you have 2 phones, it is better that T&C/!ntellect becomes the master.
The master data has be cleaned up and be consistent before doing any sync. Clean up the data by removing duplicates etc. Also, have consistent phone numbers in T&C/!ntellect eg. phone 1 is business, 2 is home etc. Otherwise, you will have lots of problems in the sync process.
For the FIRST time, push data from T&C/!ntellect to Outlook, then push Outlook to phone. This will ensure that the data in T&C/!ntellect, Outlook and phone are all the same.
Then, use 2 way sync to update data and you should not get duplicates.

A question you may ask - can you use the phones as the initial set of master data ? Yes you can initially load both phones' data to T&C/!ntellect, then clean up the data. It is easier to export the phone data to a file, then import data to T&C/!ntellect. Do not recommend using sync to do this initial load because you can create rubbish on Outlook that may be difficult to clean up.
And no, there is no "magic" way to remove duplicates, clean data. You have to spend the time and effort to do this.
