Yes, Michelle.

It was.

I am a newbie 3 month-long user and love Intellect. I use Classic 90% of the time. Yes I would love to have email in as an option for view in Classic, but more important:
The whole integration of modules is the BEST part of Intellect. When I click on a Task in Classic view and that Task happens to be associated with a Contact in the CURRENT group above, it highlights that contact, BUT.....
I have hundreds of contacts in 7 groups and if I click on a task that is associated with a contact in a non-current group, then no luck. I have to remember what group that person belongs in, change the group in the contacts window, click on the Task again, and then I get the highlight. Why can't the group change AUTOMATICALLY when I click on the Task? This should be bread & butter stuff for Intellect. (and yes I know I can leave it to "All" Contacts Group and make it work, but that is very clunky.)

Brian,

but that is very clunky

Why? For contacts I have essentially 2 groups only. Active and inactive. Inactive is where clients rest for a year or two before I simply delete them.

I use classic far more than the today view. While the Today view makes for a great 1st thing in the morning page to hilite how little free time I'll have, the classic view is the ongoing daily let's get it done view.

Unless I misunderstand, Brian, perhaps you're overlooking something.

The Groups one creates for his Contacts list, are totally independent from those created for your Tasks or Appointments. They could be one and the same if you so choose, and set up each module accordingly. But I think that's the answer as to why it doesn't automatically assign the Group based on the Contact's Group. Note that this is also true for Categories.

I group my Appointments based on the topic of the meeting. Similar with Tasks.

Groups for each module serve a different purpose for me and there is almost no duplication or overlap. For instance in contacts, the group has clients, client support, client employee, client advisor, etc. In tasks, the group is the due date of the project. Calendar is client, business development, personal, pro bono, and so one. Way back when, I used to think and have the groups the same but, then one morning I saw the light and was converted.
